Scaffold Couplers
Scaffolding couplers are fittings and connectors that hold scaffold tubes and pipes in place. A scaffolding coupler may also be referred to as a scaffolding clamp, a scaffold fitting, a scaffold pipe fitting, a scaffold tube clamp, a scaffold connector, a scaffold joint, a scaffold knuckle, etc.
Round scaffolding pipes are always connected using scaffolding couplers. The sizes of the scaffold couplers depend on the diameter of the scaffold pipe. The most popular size of scaffolding fittings for use in construction is the OD48.3mm scaffolding coupler. because scaffold tubes with a standard tube clamp system have an outer diameter of 48.3mm.
Fitting Components
DOUBLE COUPLER (PRESSED TYPE)
Pressed type double couplers provide stranger grip. Easier to handle when connecting standard to standard or ledger to ledger and any tube having an outside diameter og 48.3mm at right angler or 90o. Weight: 1.00 kg.
SWIVEL COUPLER (PRESSED TYPE)</h
Are made from 48.3 x 3.2 thick tube in Grade S355 With cast steel ledger ends with captive wedge. Scaff Ring Lock Ledger transfers loads directly to the standard through the positive connection achieved by the captive wedge.
